May is one of the best months of the year for birding, and NJ Audubon's Sandy Hook Bird Observatory invites you to join them on some varied field trip offerings this month. Staff & Associate Naturalists will visit some of the best birding locales across the state during the peak of northbound migration and the onset of the breeding season.

Thursday(s) May 6, 13, 20, 27: Morning Bird Walks at Sandy Hook with Pete Bacinski or Scott Barnes.  Two hours of birding the hook during one of the best times of the year and one of the best places for migrants and vagrants.

Saturday May 8: Garret Mountain with Pete Bacinski; one of the best landbird migrant traps in the region and during peak thrush, vireo, and warbler time.  The right weather could produce 20 species of warblers and many other colorful species.
