South Bergenite: Local churches celebrate Palm Sunday with environmentally-friendly palms


Some local churches are using palms that are eco-friendly for their Palm Sunday celebrations.
Palms harvested sustainably help both the environment and the farmer.

This past Sunday, Christians throughout the world celebrated Palm Sunday, and millions of palm fronds were used throughout the world to commemorate Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. Some churches, both globally and locally, are providing parishioners with palms that not only help the environment, but also help the farmers that pick them.
