A scenic 222-acre tract in Sussex County has been preserved for $4.2 million, successfully ending a four-year effort to permanently save the Hudson Farm Greenway in Byram Township. The deal was finalized Friday and announced today by the Land Conservancy of New Jersey, one of several partners in the effort to secure the property, which will be used for natural and recreation purposes, including ballfields and trails.
