A handful of children watched as Pat Gurgul, a Paws Farm Nature Center eductor, mixed common household ingredients together to make slime.
The gooey substance, which was created with water, Elmer's glue and Borax, illustrated how polymers are different than liquids and solids. The lesson is part of the Super Science program at Paws Farm, which teaches children in kindergarten through fifth grade through experimenting. The classes are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m., and they usually meet weekly for about eight weeks.
