The Associated Press: Arlen Specter argues for dredging of Delaware River despite N.J. opposition

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter has asked a federal judge to allow him to argue for deepening the channel of the Delaware River.  Specter, a Democrat, said he wants to speak for 15 minutes before Judge Sue Robinson on Dec. 8. Arguments about a preliminary injunction against the Army Corps of Engineers are scheduled that day.
