Asbury Park Press: Bald eagle rescued 500 miles from Pine Barrens


Jersey Girl is released near the Kennebec River by Terry Heitz, a native of Egg Harbor City who works at Avian Haven in Freedom, Maine. The young bald eagle hatched last April in a nest at the Franklin Parker Preserve near Chatsworth in Burlington County and became weak flying north.
