A new 'Friends' event, Moth Night 2009, will be held this evening, Wednesday 9/2, at 7:30pm at Butterfly Park in East Brunswick.
Moth Night is a wonderful event for the entire family where we actively attract moths to an area where they can be observed and enjoyed during the early evening hours. Spend a fascinating few hours with us as we explore a world few never take the time to see.
In the past, we've seen many species of moths including numerous moths that most of us have never seen before. Our resident moth expert Dave Moskowitz will lead the event.

If you like, bring a camera with a 'macro' mode so you can photograph what we find. Here's a trick to improve your taking pictures of moths: Scotch-tape 2 or 3 layers of regular writing paper over the flash on your camera to ensure that you won't over light the moths that may be only 3 or 4 inches in front of your camera. Without this, such photos are often greatly overexposed.
