Wild New Jersey Exclusive: Roseate spoonbill spotted at Brigantine

An immature roseate spoonbill - far more pale than the mature spoonbill depicted
above - has been spotted in Brigantine numerous times over the past week.

A roseate spoonbill, usually found in the tropics, was sighted at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge -better know as Brigantine - this past weekend. For more information on visiting Brigantine, click here.
WildNewJersey.tv asks any photographers with good photos of the actual spoonbill in Brigantine to email photos or links to wildnewjersey@edisonwetlands.org.

The bird at Brigantine is a very pale immature, quite unlike the brilliantly colored bird in the photograph. It's somewhat misleading to illustrate this story with this photo.

Is this an image of the actual bird recently reported from Brigantine? If not, shouldn't you indicate that? Can you post one of the actual RS?
Thanks.

Delightful to have this fine visitor in our midst. Just hope it's not yet another symptom of global climate change. Carolyn Foote Edelmann
