Wild New Jersey Exclusive: Barn swallows nesting in Edison barn

A baby swallow calls out for its meal in the eaves of the Triple C Ranch pony barn in Edison.

The Triple C Ranch in Edison - home to a petting zoo with ponies, pigs, goats, turkeys, and chickens - is now also home to two baby swallows, whose parents constructed a nest in the eaves of the pony barn.  Appropriately enough, it is a barn swallow family.  Operated by the nonprofit Edison Wetlands Association, the Triple C is the last farm in the highly developed Edison area.
