On April 25, 2009, Edison Wetlands Association (EWA) will host their 8th annual Earth Day Celebration at the Triple C Ranch & Nature Center in Edison from 11am - 4pm.  This FREE event is co-sponsored by the Edison Environmental Commission.

The day will kick off with an eco-tour of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area - often called “the Everglades of Central Jersey” - led by WildNewJersey.tv founder David Wheeler along hiking trails that wind through the area’s scenic wildlife habitats.  Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery will then introduce visitors to live reptiles and amphibians with a free and entertaining hands-on presentation.

“Our Earth Day event offers something for everyone, from a toddler playing with the animals at our petting zoo to a family just sitting back and enjoying the live music,” said Melanie Worob, EWA program supervisor. “We encourage visitors to come experience first-hand what nature has to offer right here in Edison!”

The event will include a delicious
BBQ lunch by a local Eagle Scout troop.  Bring chairs or a blanket and enjoy live music by the Watchung Mountain Riders, a farm animal petting zoo, arts and crafts, a nature cleanup, an environmental raffle, and much more!
