Wild New Jersey Exclusive: Lead forces closure of Raritan Bay beaches

Due to extremely high levels of lead contamination, USEPA called for the immediate closing of the western jetty near Cheesequake Creek in Old Bridge, a small beach north of the jetty in Sayreville and at the Laurence Harbor seawall.  To read the Star-Ledger article click here.

    I found the article and photo's very disturbing. One must wonder how much time the human species has left. I believe I will get in my yacht and sail to the hamptons. Great work Edison Wetlands jeers to the NJDEP for not being expeditous in their mission.
